Abstract

This paper aims at presenting a model to study the impact between a potato tuber and contact surfaces, for the purpose of facilitating the projection of devices separating hard objects from agricultural products. The impact modeling of the coefficient of restitution is important because it is a measure of the energy value absorbed by the viscoelastic object, and the absorbed energy is correlated with the mechanical damages incurred by the tubers.
