Abstract

The paper presents the outcomes of a long-term modified L-joint test revealing the direct influence of the position of assessed areas on the performance of untreated and treated wood outdoors above ground conditions. This is because the actual risk of wetting, drying speed, and amount of sunlight received vary as a function of exposure manner inducing a different degradation risk.
