Optical and Thermal Space-Borne Sensors - A Review

Abstract

This paper discusses issues related to optical and thermal sensors with which the most common remote sensing satellites are equipped. Satellite sensors are core elements of the satellite system that take images in different wavelengths on Earth, natural resources, environmental monitoring and natural phenomena etc. In this direction are analyzed optical and thermal sensors, their main characteristics, bands in which they record and the type of images taken by them.
