Abstract

The paper will especially focus on some sociologic aspects in the evaluation of the theoretical works specialized in the theory of music, which can be found in any theoretical subject of the musical educational system, both at the high school level and at the university level. These refer to the multitude of factors that are part of the assessment criteria, as well as the number of items, their individual score, and their correlation with the marking schemes of performance. The author of the present paper shows how a table like the calculation sheet of Excel, or Microsoft Office can facilitate the marking of the candidates’ answers, independently of the complexity of the assessment or of the number of candidates.
