Ornamental potential of the Pan Flute illustrated in Baroque transcriptions

Abstract

Each composer of the Baroque era, representative of a certain culture (be it Italian, German, French, or English), used the technical potential, as well as the expressiveness of the solo instrument of his choice both in compositions for concerts and in compositions for chamber music. This paper discusses the Baroque musical ornaments, especially those of the pan flute.
