Abstract

First-rank representative of the Cluj Composition School, Adrian Pop (b. 1951) always makes a strong impression on his receivers, both listeners and music theorists, through his refined way of revealing an artistic message, as well as his inspirational sources. The poetic background occupies a special position within his oeuvre and the following analytical thoroughgoing study points out some aspects related to the way in which Adrian Pop renders some lyrical meanings, focusing, in this particular case, on the love feeling as a central theme.
