Abstract

This is a didactical text, prepared to help the teachers who want to explain what is Historically Informed Performance for the baroque music, to their students. It includes the main rules of this aproach, and what modern performers may infer, after reading the historical sources, about tuning, tempo, dynamics, accents, phrases, articulation. In emphatizes that reading historical sources, use original scores and instruments is the best way to understand ancient music, and that knowledge (not only practice) is an important part of learning a musical instrument.
