The human dignity of Roma/Travellers is closely linked to other fundamental human rights, such as the right to adequate housing and the recognition of property rights in informal settlements, through the legalisation of tenure and the registration of ownership in the land register. In order to prevent ethnic discrimination and the legalisation of beneficial tenure, states have a duty to adopt legislative and administrative measures to support the integration of these social categories, in support of the registration of ownership rights in the land register.Downloads
