Abstract

Structural funds are financial instruments through which the European Union acts to eliminate the economy and social disparities between regions, for the purpose of economic and social cohesion. The Regional Operational Programme (POR) is one of the Romanian Operational Programmes agreed with the European Union and a very important instrument for the implementation of the national strategy and of regional development policies.
