Abstract

The paper defines the concept of Public Choice and its main characteristics. We aim at identifying the Virginia School of Public Choice, the main actors involved in the analysis and the major sub-fields Public Choice is divided into. The paper ends with a sub-chapter emphasizing perspectives on Public choice involving social and state welfare.
