In the context of the transition to a circular economy, businesses for sustainable development are one of the main contributors which reduce CO2 emissions. The aim of this paper is to analyze some local sustainable businesses from Romania which encourage consumers to adopt a new model of consumption. These sustainable businesses are part of the food and construction industries, two important polluting industries in the world. The study is based on secondary data analysis and its objectives are to highlight the impact of the foundation of these sustainable businesses in that local area and present how other businesses from these industries could become sustainable.Downloads
