Consumer Protection Regarding Illegal Contracts in USA

Abstract

We are all consumers. Top executives, assembly-line workers, the unemployed, housewives, and children - all must consume food, clothing, and shelter in order to survive. In a very real sense, we could speak of any business or other group as consuming such things as natural resources, energy, labor, and capital. But in this paper, the term consumer refers to one who acquires goods and services for personal or household use. Although the freedom of contracts is guaranteed by the Constitution, this freedom is not without limits.
