Abstract

The events that characterised the beginning of the third millennium have affected international tourism in Europe. The new European climate will encourage the intra-regional tourism (East-West) and, to a lesser extent, the inter-regional tourism. Among Europe’s tourist regions, Central and Eastern Europe draws special interest, as our country is part of this region. Within this context, it is interesting to reveal the international tourism trends recorded in the evolution of tourism in this particular area, as well as the perspectives on inbound and outbound tourism in CEE countries..
