Abstract

The paper characterizes the Romanian international tourism, during 1990-2003, formulating some statistical considerations about the specific indicators in correlation with other economic development indicators. After presenting the importance of tourism development and its socio-economic effects on the national economy, this analysis examines the tourism performances in Romania during the chosen period, using various statistical analyses of the indicators’ evolutions, and identifies correlations between them.
