Some Aspects of Measuring the Socio-Economic Changes in the New Economy

Abstract

The paper presents the concept of the New Economy and the main dimensions considered in building the specific indicators in correlation with the difficulties in measuring them, at the local and aggregate levels. Ensuring the comparability in international comparisons is also difficult. The paper also presents some statistics to emphasize the recently positive effects of the socioeconomic changes in the New Economy of OECD Countries.
