Efficiency of Orienting and Guiding Training Effort within the Annual Training Cycle, at the Very Long Distance Female Runner Level

Abstract

Orienting and guiding training efforts constitutes a permanent concern of specialists in the field, in order to find solutions for improving training methods in long and very long distance running. Restructuring the contents of the training by using, to an increased degree, of efforts in the mixed and anaerobic area, and adopting an adequate strategy of taking part in competitions will contribute at increasing the level of long and very long distance female runners. A training model was proposed whose application lead to obtaining of significantly superior results, in the same time constituting an effective and accessible instrument for the specialists in the field.
