Abstract

One of the most common knee injuries is the stretching or rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament. Approximately 50% of anterior cruciate ligament injuries occur simultaneously with the injury of other structures of the knee, such as articular cartilage, meniscus, or other ligaments. Ligament injuries are referred to as “sprains” and have different degrees of severity.
