Abstract

This study aimed to analyze various conceptions of approaching flat feet in children, trying to highlight the similarities and the differences between the theoretical and clinical approaches of the rigid and flexible flat feet. Although they have much in common, it was not possible to clearly determine a national or international standard framework of assessment and measurement of flat feet in children. The researchers studied for this paper offered guidelines for measurement, various theories, assessment approaches and relevant scientific arguments, however it is still not possible to delineate a common line for standardization in regard to measurement and assessment.
