Abstract

This scientific review analyses the fundamental principles of sports education in the martial arts, with a focus on Karate, and emphasises the importance of well-structured training for beginners. It also discusses the role of mental and psychological training alongside the physical, theoretical, technical and tactical training specific to Karate. The study argues the need to combine the technical-tactical components with the emotional and psychological components to reduce the incidence of injuries to practitioners. It also presents a series of measures aimed at preventing injuries so that training and competitions can take place in a safe environment.
