Correspondence between the Written and Taught Curriculum in School Physical Education

Abstract

This study analyzes, from an operational perspective, the way in which the school curriculum in the Physical Education discipline is implemented in practice, focusing on verifying the coherence between the official document (written curriculum) and the actual teaching process (taught curriculum). To carry out this investigation, teachers from all over the country were selected, with various teaching degrees and experience, who acted as monitors of the educational process. The main activity of the monitors consisted in the detailed analysis and evaluation of the curriculum in the physical education discipline of general education and its practical application, responding to a set of well-defined quantitative and qualitative indicators, this being considered curricular correspondence.
