Abstract

The present paper focuses on the autobiographical features, exploring the various passages where D. H. Lawrence seems to be retelling his own experience in “Sons and Lovers” that includes scenes of the family life, Paul’s relationships with Miriam and Clara, the maternal love, the novel being treated as a psychological study highlighting Paul’s Oedipal complex. It also provides a few critical opinions in order to better support the previously mentioned issues.
