Abstract

At present, a worldwide privatization of the political sphere is taking place, blurring the boundaries between economic and political structures. Private foundations, such as the Bertelsmann Foundation in Germany, no longer focus on charitable projects but are increasingly concerned with the modernization of public administration and societal processes. This article aims to discuss the way the Bertelsmann Foundation is shaping Germany's education system.
