Abstract

In the complex arena of contemporary fiction, postmodern writings offer challenging solutions for innovation in fiction at the level of form. The characteristics of postmodern fiction transcend geographical boundaries, so writers belonging to different cultural spaces share similar features. Julian Barnes is one of the British writers who expresses courageously his affinities with the French culture. His vision, style, and the fiber of his work place him in the area of postmodern writers.
