Abstract

Miscommunication can be defined as failure to communicate the intended meaning as well as failure to understand the communicated meaning. Miscommunication can be intra-cultural and inter-cultural which accounts for the fact that it is not necessary for two speakers to belong to different cultures since miscommunication can appear between speakers who belong to the same culture and speak the same language. Miscommunication is interpreted as a normal phenomenon since people have different visions and representations of the world and of reality.
