Dragos Protopopescu, the Academic Legacy

Abstract

This paper aims to present the first and maybe the greatest Romanian Anglicist of the inter-war period. I especially focused on introducing him as a Professor of English at the University of Bucharest. I also summarized his investigations into English literature, and I revealed his former students’ memories.
