Abstract

The set of techniques for teaching FFL (French as a Foreign Language) to students outside the humanities field (technical students in particular) is closely linked to the teacher’s ability to establish their level of language competence, as well as their need for learning a specialized language that might prove useful in a workplace, both at home or abroad. Whatever the learning approach—either by traditional or modern exercises—these should meet the student’s need for efficient oral and written communication. The existence of a multitude of types of exercises obviously underlines their role and effectiveness, drawing attention to the crucial stage of organization in any process of language acquisition.
