Translating Connotation in William Shakespeare’s Plays

Abstract

The present paper attempts to outline a few potential difficulties that appear in Romanian translations of connotative overtones belonging to Shakespeare`s plays. Thus, we shall deal with the translation of emotional connotation and of archaisms as the main forms of displaying connotation with Shakespeare.
