Data Mining Applications in Digital Library – Bibliomining

Abstract

From the point of view of terminology, “bibliometry” together with “data mining” generates “bibliomining”. Bibliometry is based on the exploitation of document–oriented scholastic communication. The analyses carried out in bibliometry mostly resort to frequency, but also use visualization and data mining. User-oriented data mining is centered on Web page access by a certain user.
