Aspects of Intercultural Communication

Abstract

This article attempts to demonstrate that miscommunication arises because each of us is a member of a particular group, a particular professional or occupational group, a generation, a gender, a region, and an ethnicity. Communication thus happens across lines that divide us into different discourse groups or systems of discourse.
