Scattering Theory of Noise in Mesoscopic Systems

Abstract

The article presents the basic ideas of the scattering theory of shot noise applied to mesoscopic systems. We evaluate the current operator, the average current, and the noise power for multi-terminal as well as bi-terminal configurations.
