Optimizing JDBC Applications - theory and practice

Abstract

The paper presents some methods of improving JDBC application performance and also, results gathered from practical experience. There are many types of efficiency problems that can appear accessing a database. JDBC drivers do not throw exceptions to tell you when your code is running too slow.
