Abstract

The paper presents the most recent applications of nanomaterials in cellular biophysics and medicine. These nanostructured materials furnish a new set of tools for scientists who look for new instruments such as biosenses and probes of biological fluids, cells, and tissue chemistry. The use of semiconductor nanocrystals as fluorescent labels, cancer treatment, and modulated drug delivery are discussed.
