Abstract

Quality isn’t something abstract; in Software Engineering it represents an extremely objective thing: accordance with the specifications. Quality tends to become one of the key words in economic success nowadays. Quality Assurance (QA) is the key for efficiency and profit. We must focus not on the product, but on the processes, in order to make them better. This article presents some general aspects of the quality problem in IT projects, creates a short introduction in ”agile” programming by defining three methodologies that are based on this new programming technique (Scrum, Lean Development and Extreme Programming) and illustrate Extreme Programming on a mobile phone application.
