Some variational considerations on first boundary value problem in non-classical elasticity

Abstract

We shall transform the first boundary value problem of Elasticity for micropolar bodies into a variational form. For the operator of Elasticity, built in this context, we prove that it is positive definite. This property ensures the existence of a solution for the first boundary value problem and the possibility to approximate it by variational methods.
