A choice of the knots in Schoenberg spline operator operator with an improvement of the order of approximation

In our paper, we show that a small modification of the equidistant knots, in the quadratic Schoenberg operator, namely considering the knots x0 = 0; xj = 1/2n + (j - 1)(n - 1)/n(n - 2), (1 ≤ j ≤ n-1), xn = 1, ensures a better order of approximation in Voronovskaya theorem.
