The Roughness of Polished Surfaces for the Alder, Poplar and Acacia Wood

Abstract

The paper consists of the experimental determination of the surface roughness of the alder, poplar, and acacia wood, after their grinding with sandpaper of different granulations. The roughness measurement has been done both along and across the fiber. The study has been done on longitudinally and transversally cut surfaces.
