Abstract

The paper herein presents data gathered from the specialty literature and results of personal research carried out upon the “new” noxious insects to pines: Brachonyx pineta Payk. and Lupus Pinicola Duft. The two species of insects have not been included in our specialized literature so far. The insects submitted to the study could not have produced such important damages if the respective stands had not favored an assembly of factors.
