Contributions to Climatology of High-Altitude Spruce Stands

Abstract

The paper presents the climatic data resulting from climatological research carried out during the period 1962-to 1996 in the Braşov Mountains, at three representative levels of spruce stands: - the lower altitudinal limit of spruce stands; - the upper altitudinal limit of closed spruce stands, the transition to spruce open woods; - the upper limit of spruce open woods to subalpine
