Abstract

This paper discusses the problem of optimizing the preventive maintenance execution periods for agricultural machinery according to the enforced reliability level. This paper puts forth the existence of a relationship between the optimum periodicity coefficient and the reliability level also enforced by the shape parameter from the Weibull repartition law. In the case of complex equipment where it can be assumed that the breakdown rate is constant, it is required that the periodicity of preventive maintenance operations based on the Poisson model be established.
