Abstract

The paper presents some compared aspects of briquettes and pellets used for combustion. Firstly there are specified the general advantages of woody biomass, as renewable source of energy, when the ecological problems at the world level are sharper. It is continued with a presentation of the technical features of briquettes and pellets, some technological items of production and some elements of combustion, with focus on ecological and energetical advantages.
