Geometric Elements of Forest Roads in the Context of Actual Traffic Conditions and the Necessity of Revision for Current Project Normative

Abstract

In this paper, there are presented the recommendations proposed by the elaboration collective, so that the geometric elements in the horizontal plan, the longitudinal profile and transversal profile, as well as those regarding the curves' facility to correspond to the survey made demands and all these to align to the new traffic conditions of forest roads. The elements presented take in account, in the first place, the technical characteristics of old domestic auto vehicle or more new. Taking in consideration other foreign auto vehicles presume specific determinations, which can follows the same calculation methodology which was applications in this paper.
