Abstract

The principal component analysis (PCA) allowed us to highlight the primordial part played by morphometric and morphohydrological parameters, which are highly dependant on the size of watersheds, in their hierachical classification according to the weight they contribute to the total variance. We proved as well the existence of a strong correlation between the 14-dimensional space and the two (three) dimensional one as a result of operating with this multivariate analysis method.
