A Computational Algorithm for Cutting Volumes Determination with Application in the Tractor Logging Network Design

Abstract

The paper presents some aspects regarding the cut and fill volumes determination and it focuses on the development of a computational algorithm with applicability in the studied problem. The current used methodology for embankment works calculation presents some disadvantages regarding the accuracy of determination and the related time management. In this order, the paper identifies the key factors which represent the input data in the computational algorithm and proposes a mathematical resolution for the studied problem.
