The description of the implied melodic theory contained in the Togolese traditional singing in all its ethnic and linguistic components updates the modal rich reflected by a powerful use of the pentatonic mode in its fundamental forms as hybrid and mixed forms. The analysis of melodic profiles reveals a match between the melodic structure of traditional singing and the prosodic structure of languages in tones of the region. This strong lineage between speech and song is the language emanation of a societal univocal basement and saturated of meaning that contributes to shaping the cultural uniqueness of these different peoples.Downloads
