Abstract

The paper depicts the particular traits that turns The Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughan Williams, the piece for violin and orchestra, into an outstanding example in the violinist soloist specialist work. The author captures the cellular material formation and its thematic modal background to outline the structural and hermeneutical observations that are stated. An important aspect of the piece, referred to in the text, is the special relationship the soloist has with the orchestral ensemble, which represents another particular aspect of the musical composition.
