Abstract

Vocal hygiene is essential for singers, integrating preventive measures with performance practice. The human voice, unlike external instruments, is inseparable from the performer’s body and psyche, responding to fatigue, stress, and health. This paper examines vocal hygiene from physiological, acoustic, and pedagogical perspectives, emphasizing efficient voice use, hydration, environmental adaptation, and stress management. It highlights the relationship between spoken and sung voice, efficient management of vocal effort, and strategies for developing artistic autonomy. Understanding and applying these principles ensures vocal health, expressive continuity, and sustainable professional activity.
