Abstract

This article aims to highlight the essential role of nonverbal communication in the context of the student symphony orchestra, as a determining factor in strengthening artistic cohesion and developing musical skills. Based on a theoretical and reflective approach, the paper analyzes multiple forms of nonverbal expression – gestures, facial expressions, eye contact, posture, synchronized breathing – and their impact on the collective artistic act. Mechanisms of synchronization and expressive adjustment are discussed, as well as the specific challenges of student ensembles, such as heterogeneous experience levels or stage anxiety. The profound pedagogical implications of raising awareness about nonverbal communication are emphasized, with concrete methodological proposals for fostering collaborative musical thinking.
