Claude Debussy: Preludes for the Piano
Keywords:
piano, music, preludeAbstract
Although the impressionistic features are obvious, Debussy mentions their title (poetic, descriptive, or anecdotal) just at the en,d like a “post-script”, within brackets as if he told: “Look what I wanted to convey by my music”, leaving the listener and interpreter the pleasure of the feeling he initiated by means of music. Another aspect can also be mentioned: the preludes have no dedication. Otherwise, dedications are rare with Debussy.Published
