Abstract

In the development of the Transylvanian Saxons’ musical life, their direct and indirect connections with their place of origin have been felt from the beginning of their settlement in the 12th - 13th century until nowadays. Thus, this can account for the effort they have made to keep up with the achievements in Western Europe and especially those in the German territories.
