Abstract

Cornel Taranu has composed the chamber opera „Don Giovanni’s Secret” under the badge of a continuous innovation. This placement stands for the assimilation of the historical-legendary spirit by the contemporary human being, out of which he has only taken over the symbols adaptable to any environments or historical periods. The idea which dominates the creation is the symmetry disturbed by the main character but it is the same Don Giovanni who brings it in the forefront by solving the conflict. Eventually everything proves to turn into a high quality prank.
